Mehul Vora, Angel Investor

Mehul Vora is a Mission-Driven Private Markets Investor, GP & LP, Angel Investor, and Affordable Housing Advocate. Mehul is passionate about consumer finance, affordable housing, and education. These three might seem like an unlikely combination, but as an immigrant to the US, these are the areas in which he saw his parents struggle the most. As an angel investor, affordable housing developer, and youth mentor, he has been able to help others in and around all three missions. His angel investing is a natural progression of the institutional private markets training and experience he received while committing $2.5 billion on behalf of pensions and foundations. Now, he loves working with entrepreneurs, helping to fuel their passion and fire for improving the world, particularly in consumer finance. In the affordable housing space, his NexGen co-founders and he built and delivered 380 naturally affordable apartments without subsidies. Their last project won support from the Amazon Housing Equity Fund, reinforcing their mission to help working-class people have access to no-compromises housing. Currently, he helps NDC develop deeply affordable housing for Washington, DC residents, often their first foray into home ownership.
