MEC Resources

MEC Resources is an Australian early-stage investment company registered by the federal government as a Pooled Development Fund, giving shareholders tax-free capital gains and tax-free dividends. It invests in exploration companies in, but not limited to, the energy and mineral resources sectors. MEC provides selected companies with development and exploration funding to advance their projects toward listing on the ASX. Investments include a 37.95% interest in Perth-based oil and gas explorer Advent Energy and a stake in BPH Energy, whose holdings span resources, medical technology and renewable hydrogen. MEC targets early-stage companies with strong growth potential and a defined exit such as an IPO or acquisition. It looks for near- to medium-term revenue opportunities, large targets, a strategic investor or IPO within a few years, an experienced management team and a definitive competitive advantage.
