Marilyn Freeman, Angel Investor

Marilyn Freeman is a private investor with more than 40 years of experience in the emerging manager space. She co-founded Capital Prospects LLC in 2002 and later served as Chief Strategy Officer and Advisory Board Member at Attucks Asset Management following its acquisition of Capital Prospects. Both firms specialized in developing diverse emerging manager talent for institutional clients. Earlier, Marilyn spent over two decades at Northern Trust Global Advisors and its predecessor firms, focusing on manager research and institutional investing. She also served as a board member of the Greenwich Roundtable, a non-profit dedicated to education and research in alternative investments. She holds a B.A. from SUNY Stony Brook and an MBA from the University of Connecticut, where she was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma. Marilyn has also spoken at numerous conferences on emerging manager strategies.
