Malay Shah, Angel Investor

Malay is an experienced investor with specific expertise in early-stage businesses and real estate. He has been an angel investor for more than two decades and currently co-directs VentureSouth Piedmont. In previous lives, Malay has been a management consultant, project manager, product marketer, business analyst and finance geek, among other things. Malay earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering and MBA with a concentration in ACC basketball referee heckling from Duke University. Malay is a budding Maker and is currently building a 3D printer, CNC mill and time machine in his basement. A naturally cautious person, he stays prepared for the zombie apocalypse by caching cases of canned peaches and cottage cheese around his neighborhood in Winston-Salem.
