Mahmoud Mattan, Angel Investor

Mahmoud “Moody” Mattan is a serial entrepreneur and the Founder & CEO of BrandXR, a No-Code Augmented Reality Platform and award-winning XR Studio. Prior to BrandXR, he founded PowisVR, building a multi-million dollar business in virtual reality headsets and mobile accessories. Before launching his own ventures, Mattan led investments in Meta, Sidecar, and Genius (formerly Rap Genius). His background spans venture capital, business development, and marketing, with a focus on profitable strategies for emerging technologies. A former Wayne State University football player, Mattan returned to Detroit to help strengthen the local tech community and contribute to the city’s resurgence.
