M Rezaul Karim, Angel Investor

M Rezaul Karim, PhD, MBA is an Entrepreneur and Angel Investor. Dr. Karim was with the Johnson & Johnson organization (JNJ) for over 20 years holding various leadership positions, primarily within Pharmaceutical R&D. He has a strong track record in clinical research and regulatory submissions, resulting in several global innovative drug approvals (NDA/sNDA/BLA). In his most recent position within JNJ, Dr. Karim was Director of Global Medical Safety in JNJ and worked as an internal statistical consultant within Global Medical Safety. His responsibilities involved working closely with pharmacovigilance colleagues, developing and evaluating new analytical tools for drug safety using novel and computer-assisted methodologies for analyzing safety databases (such as global regulatory safety database, insurance claims database, EMR/EHR, etc.). His broad-based experience also includes the Protocol Review Committee, Clinical Data Warehousing and Data Mining initiatives, Risk Assessment, Licensing, and Due Diligence activities. Currently, Dr. Karim is involved in the Green Technology and Healthcare sectors. He has been a co-founder of a Renewable Energy startup company (now a public company) and has invested in 100+ startup companies, 8 of which have gone public. He is also involved in voluntary activities related to Sustainability and Resilience. Dr. Karim’s specialties are Biostatistics/Epidemiology, Pharmacovigilance, Health Information Technology, Green Technology, Sustainability, and Resilience.
