Lynwood Capital is a private equity investment firm based in the Rocky Mountain Region that acquires and invests in businesses with initial values from startup to $100 million. The firm and its partners have a successful twenty-year track record of owning and growing such companies in a variety of industries across the United States. Investment Criteria ▪ Company Size $1 million to $100 million in value ▪ Industries —Broad and varied, located across the country Lynwood Capital is most interested in highly focused companies serving niche markets. These are typically companies that are remarkably self-aware and that fully understand their customers and their markets. They are disciplined, staying within the confines of their expertise, with talented and dedicated employees. We typically do not invest in pure technology risk businesses since they are beyond the scope of our expertise. We will, however, invest in non-technology risk ventures, as well as startups, in partnership with exceptional entrepreneurs who have direct experience in the target industry. ▪ Investment Structures and Situations —Majority control and passive minority investments Lynwood Capital invests in management buyouts, acquisitions, recapitalizations, corporate divestitures, growth financings, startups, and consolidations. Many of our private equity investments have been so-called “special situations” that do not have universal appeal to venture capital or private equity firms and require an experienced investor who has a patient, buy/build/hold investment mindset. Depending on the situation, the owner(s) may choose to exit the company or remain on in some management capacity.
