Liz Sara, Angel Investor

Liz has more than 30 years of experience in the national entrepreneurship community as a strategic business executive, non-profit president, startup champion, and angel investor. She served as president of the SCORE Foundation from January 2022 to November 2024. She advanced the Foundation's role in supporting SCORE’s overall mission of mentoring and educating America’s small business owners. In 2018, the President appointed her as Chair of the National Women's Business Council, a federal agency that advocates for female founders and women business owners. Before that, she served as the first female Chair of the Dingman Center of Entrepreneurship at the University of Maryland. She has been an Adjunct Marketing Professor at the Smith School of Business and a past Entrepreneur-in-Residence. Ms. Sara holds an M.A.. She is a frequent speaker and author on topics related to business, marketing, and angel investing. She holds several Advisory Board positions with national organizations that support entrepreneurship and female founders.
