Leland Richards, Angel Investor

Leland Richards is an Entrepreneur, Real Estate Developer, Angel Investor, and Community Developer. Leland is an experienced business executive who has led a growing, international manufacturer through good times and bad. He is seen by subordinates, colleagues, and business partners as a capable, fair-minded, entrepreneurial leader. He has broad experience (both as an executive as well as board director) in strategic planning, financial management, sales and marketing, product development, operations management, acquisition, and divestiture. In July 2020, he retired from AKWEL to allow the freedom to focus on other opportunities, including business start-up support, property management/investment, business consultancy, and board membership. In 2021 he was elected President of BlueWater Angels, an angel investment group based in the Great Lakes Bay region of Michigan, and an affiliate of the Michigan Capital Network. He has now taken the role of CEO of Personal Positioning Technologies, the makers of the soon-to-be-famous Human Hoist line of products.
