About Lee Brown, Angel Investor

Lee Brown is on the front lines of high-growth and scalable software startups. He got his start in tech at the early age of 11, when his interest in programming and internet technologies led him to build websites for local businesses. He boasts 25+ years of computer programming experience - particularly 8 years of experience with cloud architecture and 6 years of experience with GOlang. Lee and his twin brother Lucas co-founded TUNE just over a decade ago to provide digital marketing technology as a service to marketers. During his time building TUNE, Lee developed a deep understanding of scalability, flexibility, and spearheading API-driven data layers. After ten years at TUNE, Lee refocused his energy to launch Geeks In The Woods - a collection of software engineers and angel investors that work remotely, yet connected, in Alaska. As both a software architect and engineer, Lee now helps entrepreneurs in Alaska build tech as a strategic asset. With their startup program Geeks Venture Studio, Lee and Lucas partner with entrepreneurs as their co-founders to build and invest in software startups. While his twin focuses on the business aspect of each startup, Lee leads the engineering - from prototype to production.
