Kyle Teamey, Angel Investor

Kyle Teamey is an Investor whose goal is to leave things better than they were. He does this by building and investing in companies that commercialize profitable solutions to help people and the planet. Kyle was a Partner at Breakthrough Energy Ventures (BEV), where he led investments and served on company boards that span electricity, manufacturing, agriculture/food, transportation, and the built environment. Prior to BEV, he was a Principal at In-Q-Tel, the strategic investment arm of the CIA and US Intelligence Community, where he created their Industry 4.0 investment theme and invested in early-stage manufacturing, materials, energy, computing, and defense companies. Prior to his time as an investor, Kyle spent 10 years operating in start-up companies. He was the CEO and co-founder of Liquid Light, a developer of a proprietary process to make major chemicals from CO2, which was sold to Avantium in 2016. He also recently retired as a Colonel in the US Army Reserve after 24 years of service.
