Kimberly Bryant is the Founder and CEO of Ascend Ventures and the Black Innovation Lab supporting marginalized founders in the US South. She is also the founder of Black Girls CODE creating the next generation of coders. She is also an angel investor primarily in the pre-seed and seed rounds of funding. Her portfolio includes GrubMarket (food tech), L-Nutra (health tech), Backpack Healthcare (pediatric mental health provider), and Champion 40A (software development). She’s also a member of angel groups and venture funds like Portfolia, Material Change Institute, First Close Partners, and BLCK VC.
