Keone Hon is the Co‑Founder and GM of the Monad Foundation, established in 2024 to support the growth and decentralization of the Monad blockchain protocol. He previously co‑founded and served as CEO of Category Labs (formerly Monad Labs), the team behind Monad—a high‑performance EVM layer‑1 blockchain designed to deliver 1000x Ethereum’s throughput with 1‑second block times and finality. Earlier in his career, Keone was a Quantitative Developer at Jump Crypto, leading teams building DeFi apps and infrastructure, and a Quant/Trading Team Lead at Jump Trading, where he specialized in low‑latency systems, strategy research, and machine learning for price forecasting. He began as a Quant at Getco LLC (KCG Holdings). His investments include Fortytwo, Rarimo Foundation, Opti Games, Kuru, Router Protocol, Arcium, bbox, Ritual, and Ellipsis Labs, spanning pre‑seed to Series A rounds across blockchain, DeFi, and infrastructure ventures.
