Kanyi Maqubela, Angel Investor

Kanyi Maqubela is an angel investor focused on financial technology, digital assets, consumer technology, and software. His investments include Sandbar, a technology company; Brale, a stablecoin infrastructure company; Qwili, a fintech platform; and Mediachain, a blockchain technology company. His investment activity has included Series A and Seed rounds, including financings where Sandbar raised a total of $23 million, Brale $30 million, Qwili $1.2 million, and Mediachain $1.5 million. He has supported early-stage companies across fintech, blockchain, and technology. Kanyi has served as Managing Partner at Kindred Ventures since 2018. He has also served as a Board Member of UCSF Foundation Investment Company since 2023.
