Julia is an advisor to start-ups and an active technology angel investor, with angel investments in Alt12, Aumni, Automatic, Baobab Studios, Beme, BetterUp, Celo Labs, CodeFights, Compound, Gusto, Happiest Baby, Improvado, Kite, Lever, Locu, MileIQ, MissionU, Multiply Labs, Orion Labs, Owlet (IPO), Philz Coffee, SafeGraph, Saysh, Signal Fire, TruMid, Turo, Tynker, Unagi, Vestaboard, Windfall, Xip Technologies, WaitWhat, and Worklife. She also made later-stage investments in Uber (IPO), Alibaba (IPO'd), FlipKart (acq by Walmart), Postmates (acq by Uber), DocuSign (IPO), Survey Monkey (IPO), Stripe, Red Ventures, and Spotify (IPO). Julia began her legal career at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich Rosati. In 2006, Julia joined Facebook as the second attorney and led the commercial transactions team from June 2006 until April 2011. She negotiated numerous strategic deals for Facebook's growth and development, including with Microsoft, Spotify, ABC/Disney, CNN, and YouTube.
