Joris Poort, Angel Investor

Joris Poort is the CEO of Rescale, founded in 2011 to provide a cloud platform for computational engineering, AI, and simulation. Rescale supports leading companies in aerospace, automotive, life sciences, and semiconductors, helping accelerate innovation. He previously worked at McKinsey on high-tech product development and as an engineer on Boeing’s 787 program. His career began as a research fellow at the University of Michigan. As an angel investor, Poort has backed Gravity, building AI infrastructure; CompLabs, developing computational tools for research; and Biostate AI, applying AI to biotech. His investments focus on deep tech and scientific innovation.
