John Williams, Angel Investor

John Williams began his career at Farallon Computing while still at Cal, later founding Midnight Design, Inc. in 1992. After 9/11 and the dot-com crash, he co-founded Letters and Arts, Inc., a successful digital publishing company, and remains a shareholder. Post-2006, he shifted focus to private equity, investing in software, oncology, and wine—including LetsGoLearn, Inc. and Presage Biosciences. He also teaches, produces music, mountain bikes, and volunteers as a patient advocate. Williams served six years on the Ashland School Board and held leadership roles in several local nonprofits and government committees. In 2005, he and his family moved to Ashland, Oregon. He’s fluent in UI design, agile development, Adobe Creative Suite, and multiple coding languages. In oncology support, he’s well-versed in cancer biology, clinical trials, and evidence-based treatments.
