John Newton, Angel Investor

John Newton has been an Angel Investor for 15 years. He is a former Time Warner executive with over 25 years of experience in senior management positions at HBO, The Comedy Channel, and Time Warner Cable. John was an early investor in Bonobos, Inc. a men's clothing company, and Bear Naked, Inc. a granola company. Other investments include EVOL Foods, Inc. and Siggi's Yogurt. Mr. Newton is currently an investor in several early-stage companies including Little Secrets an all-natural chocolate candy company and PACT which makes and sells organic clothing. At Time Warner Cable Mr. Newton was responsible for a range of programming matters including creating new NY1-type news channels in Time Warner's largest cable systems. Prior to joining Time Warner Cable, Mr. Newton was Senior Vice President of film programming at HBO. During the 80's he led a negotiating team at HBO which licensed some two billion dollars worth of feature film exhibition rights from all the major studios and many independent producers.
