I have a passion for finding, enabling, and working with great teams of people with a vision for making new things happen, in both big companies and small. I have a strong background in venture capital (OVP) and corporate strategic investment (Intel Capital & Nike), managing a portfolio of over 125 early-stage technology companies and holding board seats or board observer seats with 23 private companies. I also have experience in teaching venture investing and leadership/strategy at a major business school (U of Oregon), and in managing a private family office for a prominent PNW family (RandE Holdings). I have operating and investing expertise in many industries, including sports products, textile materials, semiconductors, wireless, software, cloud-based media supply chain management, senior healthcare, boutique hospitality, viticulture, non-profit foundations, and venture capital. I'm among the early members/founders of the first (and so far, the only) sports-focused angel investor network in the US. We are a diverse team of experienced sports, outdoor, fitness, and tech industry professionals, entrepreneurs, investors, and do-gooders who aim to help early-stage sports / outdoor product and service brands.
