John Elstrott, Angel Investor

In 2021, I co-founded the Applied Ecological Institute, a non-profit venture design studio, along with EcoExchange, a VC fund, Climate Foods Inc, and StratifyX Inc. My passion lies in investing in and contributing to purpose-driven companies, where I actively participate on their boards. Notably, I held the position of Chairman of the Board at Whole Foods Market until its acquisition by Amazon in 2017. With a three-decade tenure as an Entrepreneurship Professor at Tulane University, I now proudly hold the position of Emeritus Director at the Entrepreneurship Center. Additionally, I extend my expertise by serving on the boards of various multi-generational family-owned businesses aligned with a meaningful mission.
