Throughout an extensive career in the banking industry within finance, accounting, and risk management, I have experience that includes enterprise risk management, financial performance optimization, credit risk management, fraud risk management, and strategic analysis. I have worked extensively with risk management and measurement, financial reporting, profitability measurement, development of strategic business plans and policies, internal controls, and credit portfolio management. As a Director at Protiviti – a global consulting firm – I manage engagements in banking, finance, and risk management. By providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) support in the use of analytically based decision-making processes, my efforts solve challenges around people, processes, and technology. A side passion of mine is two-fold: funding investments for prospective small businesses and startups, and mentoring the owners, founders, and staff at those businesses. I enjoy the challenge of conducting due diligence on prospective investments as well as providing financial and banking advice to business owners.
