Joash Lee, Angel Investor

Joash Lee is an Investor & Builder, and VP at VNTR Capital. He is a builder during the day, an investor by night, and a hospitality photographer in between. Joash originally started trading fixed income and commodities in 2015 before shifting focus to equities in 2020 — right when the pandemic hit. He joined a Web3/FinTech VC in 2022 and dabbled in DeFi for a bit, after which he started his angel investing journey, where he looked at emerging technologies like AI, Web3, and ClimateTech. Now, he advises/scouts for a couple of VCs and builds products. Also been running his creative agency since 2016 — he has worked with 50+ brands, including Marriott International and IHG Hotels. As an active advocate for sustainability, he frequently shares about the topic, occasionally takes up consulting projects, and invests in green businesses. He backed entrepreneurs such as Elon Musk (xAI), Justin Waldron (Storyverse/gemz, ex-Zynga founder), and Niggel Eccles (VAULT, ex-FanDuel founder). He was recognized by the Global Recognition Awards for VC, Forbes Business Council, International Photography Awards (twice), and the Singapore Young Photographer Award.
