Jim Wirth, Angel Investor

As the Founder and CEO of GiantMouse Knives, I lead a specialty knife brand that combines amazing design, high quality, and a fair price. I have been in this role since 2015, when I co-founded the company with two renowned Danish knife makers and designers, Jens Ansø and Jesper Voxnaes. Together, we have created a loyal customer base and a strong reputation in the knife industry, winning several awards and recognition, such as the 2023 Blade Show "Knife of the Year," the 2023 Blade Show West “Best Factory Fixed Blade,” the 2023 Carryology Carry Awards X “Best EDC Champion,” and the 2023 Field & Stream "Best Hunting Folder". Before launching GiantMouse, I had over 20 years of experience in professional services, focusing on the technology and manufacturing sectors. I co-founded and led BASE Consulting Group, an Inc. 500 company, for three consecutive years, and later joined Knightsbridge Solutions through a merger as the Technology & Manufacturing Practice Leader, until it was acquired by Hewlett-Packard in 2006. I have an MBA and a BA in Accounting and Information Systems from Michigan State University, and I am also an active angel investor and advisor in start-ups and early-stage companies. My mission is to leverage my skills and expertise in start-up leadership, strategy, and brand-building to create innovative and valuable products and services that solve real problems and delight customers.
