We accelerate the life-changing solutions to cure, prevent and treat type 1 diabetes (T1D) through catalytic equity investments. Our aim is to create a new investment market aimed at delivering solutions to those living with or at risk of developing T1D.
It’s the first scale, mission-driven venture philanthropy fund focused on equity investments in companies developing T1D products.
As a venture philanthropy fund, we approach investment opportunities slightly differently than either a venture capital fund or a non-profit organization:
-First, we evaluate if the investment opportunity is in line with our mission: accelerating life-changing solutions to cure, prevent, and treat type 1 diabetes (T1D) through catalytic equity investments.
-Second, we look at the likelihood of attracting other investors needed to deliver a product to the market.
