I grew up in a household where my father is an incredible business man, driven and determined, I thought he was invincible. Following in his footsteps, I was barely out of school before I started my 1st business, that business ran its lifecycle and I sold it after 5 years, that 1st 10 years I had founded and exited 3 other businesses. My interest in technology drew me in that arena. The 4th business BlueFire an outcome centric IT service provider we sold into Dimension Data in 2008. What was in it for them ... They wanted a hungry and determined team that were experts at building outcome centric services. Not bound to corporate red tape, free thinkers, open and determined. We went on into global roles and over the next 10 years we built 40+ services now deployed into 2000+ enterprise clients. I surrounded myself with super clever people, we were incredibly determined and were given the autonomy to make a difference. I went on to become the Global CTO - NTT - Services. We owned ideation to commercialisation. Success was only awarded once we landed real clients with strong revenues. We were masters at navigating complex deals into some of the world's largest companies. What was in it for them ... we intently listened to the client, understood their requirements, leveraged our standard services developed at scale on our platforms. From 2008 under Utiliti - I was actively investing. This expanded to a syndicate of colleagues and friends all investing and adding value together. We have done 35+ investments & more than 10 exits. My global charter gave me access to amazing people & fantastic businesses globally that brought and continues to bring unique and amazing deal flow. In 2019 I left NTT to apply my energy full time as a professional investor. We continue the work we started in Utiliti and now have a later stage venture fund with Parc (Parc Utiliti Venture Fund). The club is all in and we continue to work together to surround these businesses with everything they need to succeed. Every company we work with has the capacity to transform their industry and change the way people do business.
