Jan Odegard, Angel Investor

Jan E. Odegard is a seasoned leader with over 30 years of experience across various technology domains. Notably, he served as the former executive director of Ion, which is the hub of Houston’s innovation ecosystem—a mixed-use development by Rice University in midtown Houston. Before his role at Ion, Dr. Odegard held the position of executive director at the Ken Kennedy Institute, where he actively supported collaboration and partnerships focused on advancing groundbreaking research and development in artificial intelligence, data science, and computing to address global challenges. Jan is also an angel investor and an active member of a Houston-based angel group. His investment focus is mainly on the technology sector.
