IU Ventures has established two different funding channels for IU entrepreneurs: the IU Philanthropic Venture Fund and the IU Angel Network. These funding channels are designed to support IU-affiliated startup companies that have the potential for high growth and significant financial returns. Investment Criteria -Founder or executive in the C-Suite who is an IU alum, faculty, staff, student, or parent or The company must be based on technology developed at IU. -IU Ventures typically selects startups with developed business plans showing the following components: -A large market opportunity -A unique value proposition -Proprietary technology, intellectual property, or other bases for sustained competitive advantages -A dedicated management team -A corporate structure that allows for equity investment at defined terms and conditions -A strategy and plan that has the potential to produce venture-grade returns.
