Ian Goodfellow, Angel Investor

Ian Goodfellow is a leading figure in machine learning, best known for pioneering generative adversarial networks (GANs). He is currently a co-founder of a stealth startup launched in late 2025. Prior to this, he was a Principal Scientist at Google DeepMind, where he worked on advancing frontier AI research. Earlier in his career, he served as Director of Machine Learning in Apple’s Special Projects Group, and before that held senior research roles at Google and OpenAI. As an angel investor, Goodfellow has backed ventures in AI infrastructure and applications. His recent portfolio includes AISLE in consumer AI, Moonlake AI in large-scale models, Guardrails AI in safety tooling, Entry in early-stage platforms, and Infinitus Systems in enterprise automation.
