About Haddington Ventures

Haddington Ventures is a Houston-based energy infrastructure investment firm founded in 1998 and a registered investment adviser. It invests in entrepreneurial management teams that build and grow world-class energy projects and companies, providing both capital and strategic support. The firm invests across three areas: hydrogen hubs, energy storage, and critical minerals. It favors energy hubs that co-locate production, storage, and demand for superior efficiency and reliability. In hydrogen, it backs regional production, storage, and transport centers that pair green hydrogen with salt cavern storage for long-duration renewable energy. Featured portfolio company ACES I uses 220 MW of electrolyzers and two caverns capable of storing over 300 GWh. Energy storage is a cornerstone of its strategy, with experience in commercial cavern storage and compressed air energy storage through Apex CAES, which is developing two Texas sites. Its critical minerals focus targets domestic lithium supply for batteries from unconventional sources.
