Boston has an amazingly rich background in technology and in finance. Truly impressive companies were founded here and great work is being done. However, it started to bother us that the startup capital for a single, speculative biotech firm would supply the capital needs of the entire entrepreneurial ecosystem in other parts of the world. So we decided to get out of the Boston bubble and figure out how to connect the resources here to the opportunities everywhere.
