As a trusted steward of local charitable assets, we operate quarterly grant rounds for competitive and discretionary funding opportunities. The availability of funding and the intended purpose is dependent on fundraising and the focus of the specific component fund accepting applications. ▪ Discretionary Grants Community Foundation grants are awarded through a competitive application process, either through scheduled grant rounds or solicited (invite-only) grant opportunities. Organizations are strongly encouraged to subscribe to our monthly newsletter to stay informed about upcoming funding opportunities. Once applications have been submitted, grant committees complete a rigorous review of each application to determine how funding will be distributed based on the fund’s charitable mission and established criteria. ▪ Donor Recommended Grants The Community Foundation manages a variety of donor funds. Grants from these funds are awarded based on the recommendation of the donor (or their designated representative) to the causes and organizations they choose. These are not open or competitive application opportunities. In most cases, we do not share the donor’s information.
