Generous Acts

Generous Acts is backed by committed donors who care deeply about local communities and entrust the Adirondack Foundation to address needs and identify opportunities where philanthropic dollars can make a positive difference. Since 2014, Generous Acts has awarded over $3 million in grants to nonprofits, schools, and community-based organizations. We seek applications that are mindful of underserved populations, help address racial, economic, or other disparities, and demonstrate collaboration and community buy-in. We seek to work together toward a brighter, more inclusive future. Generous Acts grants are single-year competitive awards focused on meeting pressing needs in the following priority areas: - Basic Needs - Educational Pathways - Economic Vitality - Arts & Culture - Environment
