GDA Capital

GDA Group is a Toronto-headquartered global capital markets organization, founded in 2016, operating across private equity, public equity, debt capital and innovation. Its Ventures business builds companies from its own balance sheet, taking a founder's position rather than a passenger's. Ventures begin inside the firm, from a thesis the investment team has tested or a gap a portfolio company cannot fill alone. GDA supplies founding capital, corporate structure and the first operating team, then applies capital markets access, corporate development and institutional distribution to scale. Its Innovation business also builds AI, digital asset and robotics companies inside established operators that are not technology companies yet. Ventures include Flashy, Alpaca Network, Layer4 Ventures and BitMap Holdings, with positions in TRON, Loopring, SingularityNET, Fetch.ai and OneTo11, whose seed round it led.
