Flume Ventures is an operator-led venture capital firm founded in 2023 by Matt Nordby, a former Lion Capital partner with operating experience at Sun Microsystems, Greenplum, and Playboy Enterprises, headquartered in Incline Village, Nevada. The firm eschews a traditional "portfolio company" framing, describing its backed startups as "partner companies" instead, and provides hands-on strategic guidance, introductions, and operator-level support drawing on a team that includes Sun Microsystems co-founder Scott McNealy and former Snap/Credit Suisse executive Imran Khan.
