Flexcap
About Flexcap
Flexcap is a venture capital firm founded in 2018 by Andrew Vigneault, based in New York City. Vigneault previously founded and led ClearGraph, a natural-language analytics company acquired by Tableau in 2017, before turning to early-stage investing.
The firm focuses on seed-stage, B2B enterprise SaaS and fintech companies, though its recent portfolio spans a broader range of frontier technology, including AI infrastructure, robotics, spatial computing, and security. Co-founder Maia, who built and sold Nav.it (a financial-wellness company acquired by The Fintex Group in 2025), extends the firm's reach into consumer, fintech, and health.
Flexcap has made 53 investments to date, with 15 exits, and has been first money into more than 150 founders. Notable portfolio companies and exits include Material Security, Mattermost, OpenSea, SentiLink, Clearview AI, LaborChart (acquired by Procore), Pointable (acquired by Apple), Helicone (acquired), and Spindle AI (acquired by Salesforce).
Flexcap's investment approach favors deliberately small, deal-by-deal decision-making driven by founder judgment over process, with deal flow arriving primarily through referrals from other founders rather than a structured sourcing funnel. Andrew personally sits on the boards of several portfolio companies.
