FirstMile Ventures is a seed-stage venture capital firm. We commit early in a company's life and help them set the pace for future success. The overriding characteristic that drives our portfolio strategy is an exclusive focus on seed. We're not buying an option to invest more later, we're making a commitment. If you've already raised more than $1.5 million, there's a good chance you are too far along for us. We are not thematic investors, looking for companies that fit our view of where the world is headed. Instead, we build our investment thesis around a strong founding team with a unique and compelling vision for their market. Our areas of focus: -B2B SOFTWARE The majority of our prior investments are in companies selling software or services that solve an important problem for other businesses. -INFRASTRUCTURE TECH ​We have an affinity for the below-the-radar technologies that make everything else work better, including areas like storage, data centers, security, and networks. ​ -DISTRIBUTED LEDGER We see distributed ledgers like Hashgraph and Blockchain as the infrastructure technology for a new wave of applications. We invest in companies, not currencies.
