FirstMark is an early-stage venture capital firm based in New York City. Since founding the firm in 2008, we have been humbled to see the dramatic impact that startups can have on the world. And yet, these companies share common beginnings. A few people banding together and taking a leap into the unknown. The heightened sense of excitement when pushing beta code to production. Discovering that the world wants to do something entirely different from a product. A nerve-racking decision to pass on a major partnership to stay focused on the mission. These are the moments we cherish being a part of, and we are grateful to our entrepreneurs for allowing us to be a part of their journey. In return, we work tirelessly to rethink the traditional “single partner” model of the venture. One of our founding principles was to build a close-knit community, where our entrepreneurs and every one of their team members felt like they belonged to a collaborative family. We strive to connect our entire community with world-class expertise and a trusted environment of sharing and learning.
