First Bight Ventures is the first early-stage fund that is dedicated to synthetic biology start-ups. We see the potential of syn-bio across a broad range of verticals that could truly transform the world for a sustainable future. These verticals include (but are not limited to) energy, chemical, agriculture, medicine, heavy industries, and consumer goods. We’re driving investment and commercialization in biomanufacturing. We are more than an investment firm: we are building up the entire biomanufacturing ecosystem so that scientific breakthroughs become commercially profitable. We lead and advise our portfolio companies into efficient, cost-effective operations, leverage our extensive network to provide leads to strategic partnerships that pave the way towards commercialization, and have led in the development of BioWell, the first-of-its-kind accelerator dedicated solely to biomanufacturing startups.
