We have partnered with a number of Alaska Native corporations to pursue co-investments alongside private equity specialist firms in lower middle market companies across the U.S.
Underground Gas Storage
We partnered with Berkshire Hathaway Energy and a local utility on the development and operation of an underground natural gas storage facility in Alaska, together with Alaska Native corporation partners.
FinTech
We provided early-stage equity for Remitly, Inc., a technology-enabled remittance company which ultimately went public.
Telecommunications
We provided equity financing for the acquisition of Nova ehf, an Icelandic telecommunications provider, together with an Alaska Native corporation partner.
Financial Services
We partnered with Oaktree Capital Management to acquire a portfolio of mortgages from the FDIC, together with Alaska Native corporation partners.
Landfill Gas to Energy
We teamed with engineers, operators, and Alaska Native corporation partners to execute a roll-up of landfill-gas-to-power facilities across the country, and sold to the largest consolidator of such facilities.
