About Emil Michael, Angel Investor
Emil Michael, a Silicon Valley veteran, has built four successful companies over his career starting in 1999:
▪Tellme Networks (acquired by Microsoft in 2007);
▪Klout (acquired by Lithium Technologies in 2014);
▪Uber (NYSE: UBER); and
▪Bandit (acquired by GoPuff in 2020.)
Using his keen eye for anticipating technology shifts, he actively invests in and/or advises tech companies like Brex, GoPuff, Perplexity, Revolut SpaceX, and Stripe and aids them in securing capital and executing hypergrowth strategies.
Emil currently sits on the Boards of Homebound and Workrise. During his time as Uber's Chief Business Officer, he led the company's efforts in China, built the Uber for Business division and raised nearly $20 billion to fuel the company's growth. He also led Uber’s acquisitions that led to its Autonomous Technology Group and drove Uber China’s merger with Didi which resulted in a combined value of $30 billion.
