Elemental Impact is a nonprofit investing platform with 15 years of experience advancing innovative technology that creates lasting economic and climate benefits across communities. Through our platform, we deploy catalytic capital and provide expert services to a portfolio of 160+ companies across energy, agriculture, transportation, industry, and nature-based solutions. Elemental’s work is supported by more than 40 funders—an essential part of helping to create jobs and apprenticeships, reduce emissions affordably, and catalyze additional capital. We operate as part of an expanding family of funds, working in concert to mobilize capital from philanthropy, government, and private investors. This innovative approach emphasizes technology and local workforce development, infrastructure modernization, and policy engagement. At Elemental, we provide flexible funding that fills critical gaps, de-risks projects, and allows entrepreneurs to attract follow-on funding. We provide the right capital at the right time by using proven tools—like equity investments and SAFEs—and creative instruments like our Development-SAFE, created with Wilson Sonsini.
