About Eileen Rudden, Angel Investor

After a long career in tech, Eileen Rudden is now a technology investor, advisor and board member. She is currently an Innovation Fellow at the Harvard iLab. She is a social entrepreneur and co-founder of LearnLaunch. She envisions an education sector empowered by humans supported by leading edge technology, providing great opportunity for all. Eileen's board experience includes multiple public companies and two universities, Brown and Lesley. She currently serves on one venture-backed edtech startup board as well as multiple non-profit boards (KnowledgeWorks, NewTech Network, Massachusetts Business Alliance for Education). She is an angel investor (Sankaty Growth Partners) and a member of @Launchpad Venture Group. Her edtech investments include @Newsela, @EllevationEducation and @AceUp. She led Avaya Unified Communications Division (sold to Silverlake and TPG), Lotus Notes collaboration software and SameTime IM software (sold to IBM). She was a CEO of Fairmarket (sold to eBay) and a Broad Superintendent's Academy alum She served as Chief Officer of College and Career Preparation in Chicago Public Schools, third largest US urban system. She is also Chair of the Brown University Advisory Committee on Computing and Information Technology.
