Eigen Capital is a private investment company taking controlling stakes in small and mid-sized businesses. Our investment strategy is centered on creating value out of complex situations: we focus on acquiring non-core businesses from large corporations. Eigen’s principals have all held CEO positions and been successful senior investors in prestigious investment funds. At heart, Eigen Capital is our personal project of conducting investments the way we think is right, without the constraints inherent to traditional Private Equity funds, giving our portfolio companies the time horizon and the resources they need to realize their full potential. Eigen looks to acquire businesses in the lower-middle market that typically exhibit a combination of the following characteristics: ▪ Corporate carve-outs or non-core business units. ▪ Privately-owned businesses undergoing a transition. ▪ Complex situations, including cross-border divestitures. ▪ Industry-agnostic. ▪ Businesses with operations primarily located in North America. ▪ Revenue up to $250 million for platform acquisitions, and up to $50 million for bolt-on acquisitions. ▪ EBITDA up to $20 million.
