Edward R. Barrientos, Angel Investor

Edward R. Barrientos is an Accomplished Serial Entrepreneur, CEO, Angel Investor, Adjunct Professor, and Contributor to the Startup Ecosystem. Ed is a seasoned technology executive and entrepreneur, notably serving as the CEO and Chairman of Brazen Technologies. Under his leadership, Brazen, a leader in cloud-based HR software, achieved substantial growth and was recognized by Deloitte as part of their Technology Fast 500 in both 2022 and 2023, distinguishing it as one of the fastest-growing technology companies in the United States. This success led to its acquisition by Radancy at the end of 2023. Following the acquisition, Ed transitioned to an advisory role with Radancy's C-suite, applying his extensive experience toward the integration of Brazen into Radancy. Prior to this, Ed was the President and CEO of Arc Second Inc. from 1996 to 2005, a company specializing in laser-based measurement and 3D positioning technology. His leadership steered the company through significant growth, resulting in its acquisition by Metris NV of Belgium. Ed continued to influence the company's path by serving on the Board of Directors during their IPO in 2006 and their acquisition by Nikon in 2009. Ed's international business experience includes his role as Managing Director at Max Schlatterer GmbH & Co KG in Germany and as an international marketing consultant for Management Partner GmbH in Stuttgart. He commenced his career at IBM in 1986, where he held various roles in technical and marketing departments.
