Distinction Capital

Founded in 2009, Distinction Capital is a private investment firm located in the heart of downtown Montreal, in Dr. Molson's former residence, a heritage building built in 1906. Distinction Capital acts as a wealth management office for the family of Mr. Serge Godin, Founder and Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of CGI. In addition to ensuring internal capital management by deploying it in public markets, Distinction Capital manages the day-to-day business of the family and the Godin Family Foundation. As a result of a long reflection on market trends, Distinction Capital launched a private equity strategy in late 2018 in which it represents the interests of the Godin family, while targeting companies that demonstrate a desire to innovate and strong business acumen.
