Dennis Qian, Angel Investor

Dennis Qian is the co-founder of Definitive Finance, launched in 2022 to build an advanced on-chain trading platform designed to make decentralized finance more accessible and less stressful for institutions. The company has raised $4.1M to support its mission of improving institutional DeFi infrastructure. Previously, he worked at Coinbase as a senior software engineer, where he led the design and development of the algorithmic execution engine for Coinbase Prime, handling billions in trade volume across advanced retail, prime, and derivatives markets. Before Coinbase, he was at Tagomi, a prime brokerage for cryptocurrency markets, later acquired by Coinbase, and earlier co-founded Splitsecond Ventures, focused on trade execution automation in crypto. His career began with engineering roles at Zenefits and other startups, giving him a strong foundation in fintech and infrastructure. As an angel investor, Qian has backed early-stage ventures in crypto and AI.
