Dcode Capital

Dcode Capital is a Washington, D.C.-based venture capital firm, founded in 2019, that invests alongside leading venture firms in commercially successful, high-growth technology companies that can dramatically improve the government. It launched from Dcode, the partners’ affiliated advisory firm and federal technology accelerator, and is led by three women managing partners. Its team has helped hundreds of venture-backed companies, including many unicorns, break into and scale in the federal market, drawing on experience in the CIA, In-Q-Tel, the Small Business Administration, and federal IT acquisitions. Dcode’s accelerator is stage-agnostic and takes no equity, and graduates can be vetted for the fund. Investments include Greenroom Robotics, ZeroTier, Accordance, HEO, Slingshot Aerospace, OneNav, Nucleus Security, Tamr, Mast Reforestation, Hyperscience, and Stardog. Its focus spans AI, space, cybersecurity, and other technology areas of high priority across the U.S. government. Dcode looks for growth-stage companies already generating commercial revenue with potential to serve federal agencies, and writes small checks alongside lead investors. Its edge is helping portfolio companies win government contracts, giving them access to a customer whose budget is insulated from market swings.
