David Mauney, Angel Investor

David is an entrepreneurial life science executive with more than 25 years of investing and operating experience. As a Managing Director of Koch Disruptive Technologies (KDT), he is focused on managing KDT’s investment efforts across the major sectors in the healthcare arena. Additionally, David is a member of the Board of Directors for Deepcell, Cellares, and Insightec, all KDT portfolio companies. David is also the co-founder of four distinct life science venture funds resulting in a total portfolio of more than 70 companies focused on drug development, medical devices, healthcare IT, and synthetic biology. Along with his previous role as President of a public biopharma company, he has played major roles in raising more than $1 billion in capital commitments. In addition to global fundraising experience, he has transactional breadth in business development and financial structures, joint ventures, partnering, in/out-licensing, and M&A.
