D'Arcy Coolican, Angel Investor

D’Arcy Coolican is the Founder of Something New, launched in 2024 to explore fresh opportunities in consumer and marketplace innovation. He has also been an active investor since 2022, continuing his focus on early‑stage ventures. Previously, D’Arcy was an Investment Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, where he spent nearly four years backing consumer and marketplace companies. Earlier, he co‑founded Frank Inc., a peer‑to‑peer lending platform that applied behavioral economics to make lending between friends and family safe and seamless. He began his career at McKinsey & Company as an Engagement Manager, advising global clients on strategy and growth. As an angel investor, D’Arcy has supported startups including The Network, Superform Labs, OneRoof, Studyverse, and Heard Technologies, reflecting his focus on consumer platforms and next‑generation marketplace solutions.
