Computer and Information Science and Engineering : Core Programs, Large Projects

The NSF CISE Directorate seeks proposals for ambitious research projects tackling fundamental problems in computing, communications, and information science and engineering. These projects should benefit from a large-scale, integrated collaboration between two or more investigators with complementary expertise, potentially from different disciplines or institutions. The call encourages creative, transformative research with a potential impact exceeding individual contributions and partnerships outside traditional settings. Proposals focused on research infrastructure are not eligible. Budgets range from $3 million to $5 million over up to five years.
